The Dive Pro Crossover Course Experience :
The SSI Instructor Crossover
SSI has a simplified crossover system for instructors affiliated with recognized agencies for Recreational, Technical or Freediving. We believe that since you’re already an instructor, you only need to know how the SSI System and Philosophy function as well as the specific skills.
We recognize that as a qualified Instructor or Divemaster you already know how to train divers or deal with certified divers. Our crossover is designed to simply familiarize you with the SSI Total Teaching System and the difference in our water skills. It’s that simple. Any active Instructor Trainer can conduct Dive Professional Crossovers independently which ensures quick service, efficient logistics and flexible scheduling.
The ratings you currently hold with your other recognized agency will be matched one-to-one with SSI ratings. After completion, you can continue your career with SSI without limits! Continue your career by taking higher Dive Professional programs or by qualifying for other Specialty Instructor ratings. Check your equivalences with SSI here :

Before book SSI Instructor Crossover Course
To enroll in a SSI Instructor Crossover Course

Be at least 18 years old

Must hold an equivalent rating from a recognized agency for the program being crossed over.

Must meet the minimum certifcation requirements for the program being crossed over.

That qualifying certifications from other diver training organization may apply – ask our Instructor Trainer.
Prior to training, Instructor candidates must have completed an Instructor Training Record including:

Statement of Understanding

Professional Training Assumption of Risk and Liability Release

SSI Dive Professional Agreement
All candidates participating in professional level training must have digital copies of the following documents uploaded into ODiN before the nal certi cation(s) can be issued:

RSTC Medical Statement signed by a physician within one (1) year

Proof of CPR training within two (2) years
-
Proof of First Aid training within two (2) years

Proof of Oxygen First Aid training within (2) years

SSI Instructor Crossover Program itinerary
Arrival Day : Sign up at Go Dive Shop 1 day before start course.
Training Day in the Class Room :
08:00 - 08:45 AM. Be ready at Go Dive Lanta Office.
09:00 - 04:00 PM. AM Knowledge development (Theory) Reviewing knowledge review with your instructor.
Training Day at Swimming Pool or Beach :
08:00 - 08:45 AM. Be ready at Go Dive Lanta Office.
09:00 AM Knowledge development (Theory) Reviewing knowledge review with your instructor.

Next Step >>
After your Open Water Instructor, you can start working towards Specialty Instructor. You can qualify by attending Specialty Instructor Seminars or co-teaching Specialty Programs with a qualified instructor. If you already hold Specialties as a Training Specialist, they will be automatically upgraded to Specialty Instructor / React Right Instructor Course
COURSE CONTENTS :
The SSI Instructor Crossover Course (2-3 Dives/day) takes 2 days training.
REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLETION :

Complete and pass all requirements and evaluations listed in the Crossover/Update Instructor Manual.

Complete the water skills evaluation as outlined in the Crossover/Update Instructor Manual.

Complete the Crossover/Update nal exam with a passing score of 90%.
A. RSTC/ISO/FEDERATION DIVE PROFESSIONALS
Dive Professionals certifed by any training agency or Federation can attend an SSI Dive Professional Crossover.
Dive Professionals not certifed by an RSTC or ISO Training Agency or an officially recognized Federation will need to attend an Instructor Evaluation (IE) to become a certifed SSI Dive Professional.
Dive Professionals certifed by Non-RSTC Member or Non-ISO Certifed Training Agencies may attend an SSI Dive Professional Crossover conducted by an active SSI Instructor Trainer, but cannot be certifed without attending an additional Instructor Evaluation (IE) conducted by an active Instructor Certifier for proper SSI Dive Professional-level knowledge and skill assessment.
ACADEMICS :
Training Materials and Online Training program are designed so that you can learn the academics at your own pace when it is convenient for you. You can complete the academics online when you sign up for Online Training program, and then attend review sessions with our Dive Center.
POOL TRAINING :
In the relaxed and stress free environment of our swimming pool you will practice all skill exercises.
