The Divemaster Course

For people looking to turn their hobby into a job, this course will start you on an exciting path to a career in diving.

Whether you choose to just continue your education or start a whole new career, being an Dive Professional is a very gratifying experience! Besides all the fun you will have, becoming a Dive Professional is personally and financially rewarding.

Starting down the dive professional pathway provides many opportunities to develop your skills and further your diving career.

 

DIVE GUIDE (DG)

This program is using practical application and background information. The goal is to create well-prepared, versatile and marketable Dive Professionals. Dive Guides can lead and guide certified divers. Additionally, after passing the Snorkeling Instructor program, a Dive Guide can teach and issue Snorkeling certifications.

 

DIVEMASTER (DM)

Dive Guide plus the Science of Diving program equals Divemaster. Divemasters can assist Dive Instructors with pool/confined water and open water training under the direct supervision of an Dive Instructor. This brings valued experience for all future diving carriers!

 

Knowledge Development (Theory)

 

Before book Divemaster Course

To enroll in a Divemaster Program

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Have at least 24 logged open water dives (60 upon completion of certification)

  • Current medical exam

  • Certified at the Advanced Diver (or equivalent certification)

  • Certified as a Rescue Diver (or equivalent certification)

  • Logged experience in Navigation, Night Diving & Deep Diving

  • Emergency Training (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months.

  • A medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.

  • That qualifying certifications from other diver training organization may apply – ask our Instructor.

 

Note :

  • Dive Master Course : At least 60 dives to begin the course.

  • Dive Master Course PLUS : At least 40 dives to begin the course. 60 logged dives to earn certification.

  • Dive Master Internship Course : At least 20 dives to begin the course. 60 logged dives to earn certification.

  • Divemaster Candidate can only going on our boat for training dive if going on another boat need to pay for extra cost.

What you will learn in Divemaster Course?

 

Knowledge Development (Theory)

 

COURSE CONTENTS :

The Divemaster Course (2-3 Dives/day) takes 2 weeks training.

The Divemaster PLUS Course (2-3 Dives/day) takes 2 weeks -1 month training.

The Divemaster Internship Course (2-3 Dives/day) takes 1-3 month training.

 

Knowledge Development (Theory)

 

ACADEMICS :

Training Materials and Online Training program are designed so that you can learn the academics at your own pace when it is convenient for you. You can complete the academics online when you sign up for Online Training program, and then attend review sessions with our Dive Center.

 

POOL TRAINING :

In the relaxed and stress free environment of our swimming pool you will practice all skill exercises.

 

OPEN WATER SESSIONS :

During your course you will participate in training dives which will last 40-60 minutes each.

you will apply the skills, combined with a guided tour to explore Koh Lanta's tropical reefs. Your instructor will show you a huge variety of tropical coral and fish. Clown fish, barracudas, lion fish, trumpet fish, groupers and many other marine creatures will greet you in their world.

 

SAFETY & FUN :

Your experienced buddy and instructor understands your problems as a beginner and will be there  to assist you whilst under water.

Divemaster Candidate can only going on Go Dive boat for training dive if going on another boat need to pay for extra cost.

Surchages for Speed Boat 1,400 THB/diver/day  

Surcharges to be paid in the Go Dive office.

 

National Marine Park Fee :

The National Marine Park Fee will be added to your bill and is payable on or before the day of the trip. If your trips are not within the National Marine Park then you do not need to pay the Fee.
