The PADI Rescue Diver Course Experience :
'Rewarding and fun' ? that best describes the
PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your
knowledge and experience level: Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves
and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although
this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.
Course philosophy
The Rescue Diver courses? philosophy is based upon the fact
that there are several possibilities to achieve a goal. The structure
of the course reflects this with a situational curriculum i.e.
size and strength of the rescuer in comparison to the victim and
environmental conditions will affect the preferred rescue technique.
During your training you will be encouraged to try several options
to learn how to make best use of your personal strengths and to
discover your own limits. |

them. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at
the end, say it?s the best course they?ve ever taken.

Preparation

Get your manual PADI Rescue Diver Crew Pack from Go Dive?s dive store
with a brief explanation of how to use it from our Staff.
Knowledge development
- Your instructor will provide you with all of the information
you need by using a video and verbal presentation. Finally
you will be asked to sit the written multiple choice exam which
consists of 60 questions. You need to answer 75% of the questions
correctly to pass, most of our students reach 90+%.

Development is now also available online as an
eLearning Course.
Training in the swimming pool or on the beach
-
In the relaxed and stress free environment of our swimming pool
you will practice 10 exercises from ?Tired diver on the
surface? to salvage operations from boat or shore for
non responding divers.
Training @ the dive sites
- The four required rescue scenarios are conducted in conjunction
with our boat, Go Dive Lanta will provide
you with free breakfast and lunch. Here we will summarize
everything you have learn during the days in the
classroom and swimming pool. We will try to make it look as
realistic as possible so that you can demonstrate your readiness
and awareness as a Rescue Diver.
- During your course you will
participate in 4 training dives which will last 40-60 minutes
each., combined with a guided tour to explore Koh Lanta?s
tropical reefs.

All the equipment you will need is typically included in a PADI Rescue Diver Course experience.
