The Rescue Diver Course

Stress is a major contributor to rescue situations and diving accidents. Through this course you will learn accident prevention, as well as how to handle problem situations if they occur.

 

"Be prepared for those unexpected emergencies."

The program is about avoiding, recognizing and solving problems on the surface and underwater.

The course runs two - three days in which you will participate in academic and in-water sessions in the pool and in the open water. As a prerequisite for certification you need to have a valid CPR, First Aid & Oxygen Provider certificate.

 

 

We offer FREE Online Training - with Digital Learning, you can study at your convenience anytime or anywhere. With the advancement of digital learning, and you can start learning right away.

 

Online Training gives you the background information you need to dive safely and allows you to study at your own pace through an interactive computer-based program.

Before book Rescue Diver Course

To enroll in a Rescue Diver course or Rescue Diver Course PLUS

  • You must be 12 years old or older.

  • Have a Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent certification)

  • Be trained and current for first aid and CPR within the previous two years.

  • If you not taking Emergency Training yet recommend to taking Emergency Training + Rescue Diver Course Package

Training Materials and Online Training program are designed so that you can learn the academics at your own pace when it is convenient for you. You can complete the academics online when you sign up for Online Training program, and then attend review sessions with our Dive Center.

National Marine Park Fee :

The National Marine Park Fee will be added to your bill and is payable on or before the day of the trip. If your trips are not within the National Marine Park then you do not need to pay the Fee.

 

Rescue Diver Course itinerary

 

Arrival Day : Sign up, Try diving equipment at Go Dive Shop 1 day before start course.

 

1st Training Day at Swimming Pool or Beach :

08:00 - 08:45 AM. Pick up from your Hotels & Resorts

09:00 AM Knowledge development (Theory) Reviewing knowledge review with your instructor.

10:00 AM - 03:00 PM Rescue Training.

 

2nd Training Day on the Big Boat : Local Day Trip

06:45 - 07:45 AM. Pick up from your Hotels & Resorts

08:00 AM. Departure from Go Dive Lanta Jetty

08:15 AM. Welcome on board, Boat briefing

08:30 AM. Breakfast

09:00 AM. Dive Briefing

10:00 AM. Dive 1st (Final Scenerios Dive 1)

11:00 AM. Tea & Coffee, Tropical Fruit, Dive Briefing

12:15 AM. Dive 2nd (Final Scenerios Dive 2)

01:15 PM. Lunch, Dive Briefing

02:30 PM. Dive 3rd (Optional)

05:30 PM. Boat arrive to Go Dive Lanta Jetty

If making 2 dives the boat will be back around 03:30 - 04:00 PM

POOL TRAINING:

In the relaxed and stress free environment of our swimming pool you will practice 10 exercises from Tired diver on the surface to salvage operations from swimming pool or shore for non responding divers.

 

Training in Open Water

 

OPEN WATER SESSIONS :

The four required rescue scenarios are conducted in conjunction with our boat, Here we will summarize everything you have learn during the days in the classroom and swimming pool. We will try to make it look as realistic as possible so that you can demonstrate your readiness and awareness as a Rescue Diver.

 

During your course you will participate in 2 training dives which will last 40-60 minutes each.

you will apply the skills, combined with a guided tour to explore Koh Lanta's tropical reefs. Your instructor will show you a huge variety of tropical coral and fish. Clown fish, barracudas, lion fish, trumpet fish, groupers and many other marine creatures will greet you in their world.

 

SAFETY & FUN :

Your experienced buddy and instructor understands your problems as a beginner and will be there  to assist you whilst under water.
