How to getting to Koh Lanta?

For Travel to Ko Lanta is easy and inexpensive to reach from Krabi, Ao Nang, Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, Trang, Koh Lipe, Langawi Malaysia and Bangkok.

 

The island is serviced by passenger ferries from both Krabi, Phi Phi , Phuket, Ao Nang, Koh Ngai, Koh and car ferries from the mainland.

 

Krabi is the most convenient gateway to Koh Lanta if coming from Bangkok, and if arriving from Phuket passage is via either Phi Phi or Krabi. Trang also serves as a regional transit point for those coming in from the south.

 

Please bear in mind that if your arrival time is late in the day, the local minibus or public passenger ferries scheduled for Ko Lanta may not always be available.

 

Koh Lanta is located on the Andaman Coast in the southern part of Krabi province, almost facing the mainland of neighbouring Trang province further south, so it can be accessed from several points.

 

The most common way to travel to Koh Lanta is by car or minibus from Krabi or Trang, or by passenger ferry from Krabi Town, Ao Nang, Railey Beach, Koh Phi Phi & Phuket.

 

Please note that these ferries run daily in the high season but certain routes are stopped to Koh Lanta during the stormier green season months. If you’re traveling in low season check with your agent for further details.

 

It is at your own risk to buy any transfers, accommodation or tours from an unlicensed shop or a tour guide on the ferry or street – it could be a scam for your money. Please ask them for ID with valid picture otherwise report them to a nearby police station or TAT office.
