Course contents

The course takes 3 to 4 days and includes 1 or 2 days of knowledge development and pool training as well as 2 days training in the open water with 4 training dives.

* Koh Lanta National Marine Park applies to the dive sites must pay for Marine Park Fee.

Before book PADI DSD Course + Open Water Diver Course

To enroll in a PADI DSD course + Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

Please Remember : Taking Open Water Diver Course you will need to stay on Koh Lanta at least 5 Days 4 Nights. Please find your accommodation here.

 

National Marine Park Fee : For all dive trips within the Mu Koh Lanta National Marine Park, applies to the island of Koh Ha, Hin Daeng & Hin Muang, Ko Ngai and Koh Rok.

 

  • National Marine Park Entry Fee for Adult 400 THB/day

  • National Marine Parek Entry Fee for Child 200 THB/day

  • Diving in National Marine Park Fee 200 THB/day

 

The National Marine Park Fee will be added to your diving bill and is payable on or before the day of diving. If your dives are not within the Koh Lanta National Marine Park then you do not need to pay the Fee

Your instructor will help you to close your knowledge gaps and answer all the questions you might have from your self study by using a video and lesson guides. You will need to correctly answer 75% of the 50 questions in the final exam (multiple choice) where most Go Dive Lanta's students score 90+%.

Firstly your experienced and patient instructor will spend some time on the boat to give you a detailed briefing about the following training session. Your instructor will use scuba gear and pictured lesson guides to introduce you to the most important rules of scuba diving. This takes approximately 30-40 minutes.

Under water, shallow enough to stand up in you can watch a very slow and detailed demonstration of all the necessary skills.

You will then have time to practice these skills under the instructor's direct supervision.

Once you have mastered the required skills you can continue with the most thrilling part of the program, the underwater tour.

At a depth of maximum 12 meters / 40 feet your instructor will show you a huge variety of tropical coral and fish. Clown fish, barracudas, lion fish, trumpet fish, groupers and many other marine creatures will greet you in their world.
