DIVE CONTROL SPECIALIST (DCS)

Enroll in a Dive Control Specialist program or enter the program as a Divemaster from any approved agency. After you are certified you can teach Scuba Skills Update, Snorkeling and Try Scuba (pool only) and you can even upgrade Training Specialist - a further step at your career ladder.

Before book Dive Control Specialist Course

To enroll in a Dive Control Specialist Course

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Must have logged at least 60 open water dives totaling 40 hours or more.

  • Must hold the Divemaster rating or an equivalent rating from a recognized agency.

  • That qualifying certifications from other diver training organization may apply – ask our Instructor Trainer.

 

Prior to training, Instructor candidates must have completed an Instructor Training Record including:

  • Statement of Understanding

  • Professional Training Assumption of Risk and Liability Release

  • SSI Dive Professional Agreement

 

All candidates participating in professional level training must have digital copies of the following documents uploaded into ODiN before the nal certi cation(s) can be issued:

  • RSTC Medical Statement signed by a physician within one (1) year

  • Proof of CPR training within two (2) years

  • Proof of First Aid training within two (2) years

  • Proof of Oxygen First Aid training within (2) years

What you will learn in Dive Control Specialist Course?

 

Knowledge Development (Theory)

 

COURSE CONTENTS :

The Dive Control Specialist Course (2-3 Dives/day) takes 4 days training.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLETION :
  • Have logged no less than 75 open water dives totaling 50 hours or more.

  • Complete and pass all requirements and evaluations listed in the Dive Control Specialist Instructor Manual.

  • Complete the water skills evaluation as outlined in the Dive Control Specialist Instructor Manual.

  • Complete a Dive Control Specialist nal exam with a passing score of 90%.

 

Knowledge Development (Theory)

 

ACADEMICS :

Training Materials and Online Training program are designed so that you can learn the academics at your own pace when it is convenient for you. You can complete the academics online when you sign up for Online Training program, and then attend review sessions with our Dive Center.

 

POOL TRAINING :

In the relaxed and stress free environment of our swimming pool you will practice all skill exercises.

 

OPEN WATER SESSIONS :

During your course you will participate in training dives which will last 40-60 minutes each.

you will apply the skills, combined with a guided tour to explore Koh Lanta's tropical reefs. Your instructor will show you a huge variety of tropical coral and fish. Clown fish, barracudas, lion fish, trumpet fish, groupers and many other marine creatures will greet you in their world.

 

SAFETY & FUN :

Your experienced buddy and instructor understands your problems as a beginner and will be there  to assist you whilst under water.

National Marine Park Fee :

The National Marine Park Fee will be added to your bill and is payable on or before the day of the trip. If your trips are not within the National Marine Park then you do not need to pay the Fee.
