START FREEDIVING!
The introduction to the purest form of diving. Learn proper breathing techniques, familiarize yourself with diaphragm breathing and take a deep breath like you never have before. In the SSI level 1 Freediving course you acquire the proper skills and knowledge to participate in Freediving to depths of 60 ft. (20 meters) in the most relaxed and safest manner possible. You will develop the skills necessary to train your body to be more efficient with breath-holding, gain better respiration and muscle flexibility and learn new skills to take your Freediving to the next level.

What you will learn in Freediving Level 1 Course?
COURSE CONTENTS :
In this course you learn the appropriate skills and knowledge to dive safely to depths up to 20 meters. Course includes theory sessions about freediving breathing techniques for before and after diving, a dry breath hold, relaxation, physiology and safety procedures.Water sessions will include dynamic apnea (horizontal UW swimming) and depth where you will progressively learn about technique including adequate finning, body positioning and being more streamlined.
Duration: 2 days
ACADEMICS :
Training Materials and Online Training program are designed so that you can learn the academics at your own pace when it is convenient for you. You can complete the academics online when you sign up for Online Training program, and then attend review sessions with our Dive Center.

Complete the Freediving Level 1 final exam with a passing score of 80%.
POOL TRAINING :
Your instructor will explain and slowly demonstrate each and every skill for you and give you enough time to practice. Also check if you are able to swim and feel comfortable in the water to prepare for safe freediving.

National Marine Park Fee :

Freediving Level 3
OPEN WATER SESSIONS :
During your course you will participate in 2 open water training freediving which will last 40-60 minutes each.
During the training you will apply the skills you have already mastered in the swimming pool to open water conditions, combined with a guided tour to explore Koh Lanta's tropical reefs. Your instructor will show you a huge variety of tropical coral and fish. Clown fish, barracudas, lion fish, trumpet fish, groupers and many other marine creatures will greet you in their world.
After successful completion of your open water training dives you will become a Certified Diver. The SSI Freediver Level 1 certification is recognized worldwide.
SAFETY & FUN :
Your experienced buddy and instructor understands your problems as a beginner and will be there to assist you whilst under water.
